Cost of Living
Iaşi is an afordable city, where prices can be lower than in other Romanian cities. 400 Euro is enough for a monthly decent living. Here are some expenses you might have to cover:Accomodation: 490 lei in Gaudeamus Center for International Exchanges
Meals at the student canteen: 150 (breakfast) + 300 lei (lunch) + 240 lei (dinner) = 690 lei.
If you prefer to go out and eat, your expenses will be higher. Anyway, you can save money by cooking your meals in the student residence.
A meal in a restaurant, consisting of an average pizza and a fresh juice will cost you around 16 lei.
Local transportation: 60 lei on one public transport track (bus or tram)
Books and stationery: 60 lei
Other expenses: 200 lei
If you want go out, you can choose between going to a movie, enjoying a theatre play or just having fun in a club or chilling in a cafe. A movie ticket at the Multiplex will cost you about 12 lei, a theatre ticket 10 lei (student price) and a night out around 30 lei (including pizza, one juice and one beer).
