On Friday, September 5, 2025, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (UAIC) organized the graduation ceremony of the second cohort of students who graduated from the interdisciplinary joint master’s program LIFELINE – Lifelong well-being and Healthy Ageing, coordinated by UAIC within the EC2U university alliance.
The ceremony was chaired by Prof. Daniela Tatiana ȘOITU, coordinator of EC2U Working Group 4, respectively of the LIFELINE Joint Master’s Program and the GLADE Virtual Institute, and brought together university representatives, including Prof. Conțiu Tiberiu Cristi ȘOITU, Vice-Rector for Human Resources, Quality Management, and Cultural Activities, professors who taught within the program, and local UAIC coordinators for the EC2U project to celebrate the graduates.
During the ceremony, each graduate took the floor and shared some thoughts at the end of the academic cycle.
“The LIFELINE master’s has truly been a dream come true. It gave me the chance to study, explore new countries, experience different cultures, and build lasting friendships across borders. Coming from a clinical background, I had the exciting opportunity to step into the Research lab and grow in ways I never imagined, while also adapting to a new education system that pushed me to speak up and gain confidence. I am deeply grateful to the organizers of the masters program, professors, colleagues, and staff who made this journey possible. Thank you for shaping an experience that I will carry with me for life.” – Uwangue Oluwakemi Favour (Nigeria)
“I would like to thank my universities, in Iași, in Pavia and in Salamanca. And, obviously, to Professor Daniela SOITU for being so supportive and cooperative all the time, for listening to all our questions every time and answering them.” – Hamna Qaiser (Pakistan)
Students enrolled in this Master’s program spend their first semester at UAIC and subsequent semesters at other EC2U partner universities.
