Two exceptional personalities of the academic world will be awarded the title of  Doctor Honoris Causa  at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

The ceremony dedicated to Thierry René Henri Magloire de Montbrial, member of Académie des sciences morales et politiques, will take place on October 2nd, at 10.00 a.m., in Aula Magna Mihai Eminescu. Mr. Thierry de Montbrial is a French economics and international relations specialist and researcher. He was the founder of the Department of Economics of the École Polytechnique, the president of which he was until 1992.

On Friday, October 3rd, at 11.00 a.m., the title of Doctor Honoris Causa will be awarded to David John Lodge CBE, Emeritus Professor, Birmingham University, Great Britain, one of the most appreciated and beloved British authors of our time, a wonderful example of the double hypostasis typical of postmodern writers: fiction writer and literary critic.
